As an American who is used to this garbage being the norm, this isn’t shocking, surprising, or hard to believe
There aren’t 2 nuclear armed empires facing each other down and fighting proxy wars in poorer parts of the world. Instead there are multiple smaller nuclear armed empires facing off and fighting real wars with the crumbling husks of NATO and the soviets acting like they still have spheres of total control and ideological backing while their citizens struggle to get by.
Sounds like a great upgrade history definitely ended in 1991.

I’m sorry, did I miss a mass disarmament event? It may not be as novel as it used to be, but the dull threat of nuclear war has been a constant backdrop in our lives.

I’m a leftist GenX whose served aboard 3 nuclear submarines, over a 20 year career. Ive slept between ballistic nuclear missiles, on top of torpedoes, mines, and tomahawk missiles early in my career, but later, switched to a standard bed (rack) on the boats…can I reflect and make a fuss?

Considering this lawmaker is American, you saying that you don’t have to worry about it is moot. The people this chucklefuck represents most certainly have to worry about the very real threat of paying the 2nd amendment tax; a payment we collectively incur by having more guns than people.
Now that we have a president threatening to invade NATO members, we’re about to have the nuclear threat back.
