You can get a nail polish like thing that tastes gross (but is non-toxic) to stop the habit of absent mindedly picking
I thought those were to stop you from biting your nails not picking your nose.
That is probably the case - have only heard about this product 2nd hand.

Not sure, I’ve never used it. I assume it’s supposed to tackle step 1 of the nose pick by making step 2 taste bad.

Dealing with nasal vestibulitis right now, not sure from over picking or dealing with being sick 24/7 from my daughters daycare. Took a while to figure out what was wrong with my nose. Hopefully wont be picking it much after that!

I just now don’t eat my boogers. I am miner though. Like poops I sometimes observe each specimen.
My younger sister had this issue! (and would also sometimes eat it 🤢). Did it until her first year of high school.
My mom borrowed a microscope for our schooling, and my little sister had the funny idea to put a booger on a slide to take a look.
We both looked and were absolutely horrified at what we saw that day. Never saw her pick her nose ever again.

I once read that humans pick by nature because the sinuses are a filter, and then the tonsils can sample that filter for germs to strengthen itself without getting fully sick.
