I went on a trip to Oslo and Bergen last summer. I’d love to go back; they’re great places for mixing hiking and city exploration.

Northern California, but I’m not visiting the US again until there has been a revolution.

Montserrat in the Caribbean. Visited multiple times as a kid after the volcano as I had family working there in regeneration projects. Beautiful place, beautiful people, wouldove to see it again as an adult and see how it’s changed now.

We went on a highly illegal and potentially dangerous trip (if the volcano went off again, by the time we heard it, it would be too late to escape) to see the old airport from where you can see directly up the volcano and the path the pyroclastic flow took and covered the terminal building which was half buried in the dust.

There were wild horses roaming and nature was already starting to reclaim the place so the intervening 30 years probably have accelerated that and I’d love to see it.

Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto, more time in Osaka. Went 2 years ago for our honeymoon and I fell in love with Japan. Kyoto especially, sitting down by the river, drinking a high ball I bought from the Lawsons and just vibing was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!

I love Japan in general, have been a couple of times, but last time I went we stayed on the shore of lake Yamanaka one of the Fuji five lakes.

We rolled up in the evening and there was a heavy fog, you can only see 5m in front of you sort of heavy. Found where we were staying which was right on the shore but you could barely even see the lake still. It was a traditional futon on the floor type place, first impressions were alright.

The next day we woke up to a beautifully clear day, look out the window to a view of the lake with Fuji rising up behind it, it was fucking amazing! I can’t recommend the lakes enough after this experience!

The rabbit island down near Hiroshima is awesome too :D

Taiwan, specifically Jiou Fen. It’s a hillside town in northeastern Taiwan, lot of stairs but it’s walkable, the view is gorgeous, the general vibe is just awesome. Though i went there about 10 years ago, not sure if the pandemic changed anything.

The Bahamas. My wife and I went there once and it was perfect.

The more possible answer, Niagra Falls. I’ve been there a few times but my wife wants to see it.

I went to Europe when I was 11, but now that I’m an adult and have an appreciation for history I’d love to go back. Me and my fiance have talked about traveling at some point. The main destinations are Ireland and Scotland, because our families are from there

The Mojave. The desert is gorgeous, I long for getting away from the humidity, and I NEED a burger at Goodsprings.

Basically the handful of countries in western Europe that I visited after graduating highschool in the late '90s. I haven’t been back since and would love to see it again as someone who’s not a very sheltered 17-year-old. The trip was also cut short because there was a huge storm off the US East coast or something that had us end up flying up to Canada, spending the night, and then flying over.

  • Salem, MA is one of my favorite places to be. I used to go there so often that the locals thought I was a local. I planned to “retire” (whatever the millennial equivalent is) there.

Nowadays it’s no longer safe to visit home

Honestly? Cape Meares and Garibaldi. Not far from home.

Most places in my childhood and past are illegal for me to travel to in this form.
