I recently started following a guy on YouTube who’s answer to the doubt over whether we’ll be able to vote again is, “I’m not asking. I’m voting”. I’ve decided to adopt that mentality and I encourage others to do the same.

Does it matter? Kamala was supposed to have a slam dunk victory in the last presidential election. Every single post made on Reddit and Lemmy and Mastodon and everything said Trump’s numbers are “lowest they’ve ever been” and what not. In the end, Trump won and it wasn’t even close. It doesn’t matter what the polls say. In the end, hatred and stupidity won in the last election and who knows, it might work again.

Either he prevented from running, in which case this doesnt matter; OR he IS running in violation of the law, in which case this doesnt batter because if he is willing to break an established precent and law then he would not leave his third term open to chance by having free or fair elections.

The worst part is that there’s no actual law about that anywhere. He’s looking at Ukraine’s suspended elections, but that was only possible because Ukraine’s constitution specifically states that elections can be suspended during war. The US constitution doesn’t have any such clause. But I’m sure he’ll try anyways, and the current SCOTUS will let him.
Maybe seeing the winds change can help the chickenshit congress find their spine and make the 25th ammendment happen?

I also voted Bernie, but it was 5 months after the primary was supposedly already decided. Most of the country literally didn’t have a choice between active campaigns. I can’t be a sore loser of the game was over before I got a chance to play.
