To make yourself feel better, it is disputed whether the entire library (and with it a huge wealth of knowledge) was destroyed in one big fire or not. Instead it might have been ”destroyed” gradually over a long period of time due to lack of funding.

The kind that lets someone festoon their pickup with LED lights and a squat so you’re blinded at night when they’re coming at you or tailgating you.
All of them think they’re special and the rules don’t apply, they don’t care how it affects those around them - or others are to be exploited.
The general state of the world / our collective inability to learn from history.
I blame quality of education. Like, the whole world. Some got it fine but most of the world got it in a trash state. Old system must go. Reworks must be done. And then, maybe we will not repeat history every couple of decades.

Having typed out long urls by hand, I appreciate the QR code.
That said, they aren’t applicable everywhere, they shouldn’t be used everywhere.
It’s worse. The reason for digital is so they can steal even more data points to sell to third parties.
There’s a higher-than-normal correlation between filling out a new set of forms at a doctor and an increase in junk mail or phone calls from scammers.
