I’m in Iowa and that’s a red state these days. If they want to kill me I won’t go quietly, but I’d definitely rather die than detransition.
There are other options. They might involve not staying in Iowa, but hell suicide means leaving Iowa, too, so you might as well try another state.

I’m still paying off my trailer, I can’t just move without destroying my life anyway. My resume is unimpressive, I’m going into my mid 30s, I’d just be condemning myself to a life in homeless poverty.
