Great, I take a stimulant, a beta blocker, and an antipsychotic. I’m cooked.
Literally apparently. Man this is good to know, specifically antihistamines since I’m allergic to basically everything green outside…
Well this answers some questions
My doctors office actually notified me that I’m on 2 medications that make me extra heat sensitive.
I appreciate it. This is a good reminder to folks to check.
Holy shit thats why I’m so temperature sensitive?
Yea same here. I have to sit in front of my AC and bringing in the groceries makes me overheat so much I have to use cold water and the AC to stop it.
I grew up in deserts like the Mojave and used to be able to work in 115 degrees. Now I can’t surpass 75 degrees.
Bonus+ Citrus, especially grapefruit, can enhance the effects of certain medications as well.
I thought grapefruit blocked the channels that lots of drugs use?
yup, opiates to be specific.
It can go in the other direction too
Meds enhance the effects of grapefruit?
No, it can make meds less effective
Less effective grapefruit?
A like my grapefruit around 28% anything above that and I get sleepy
