A sophisticated analysis by the Costs of War Project tallied up at least $22.76 billion in military aid when combining approved U.S. security assistance to Israel since October 7, 2023; supplemental funding for regional operations; and estimated additional costs of operations, such as strikes against Houthi forces in Yemen. That figure includes $17.9 billion the U.S. government has approved in security assistance for Israeli military operations in Gaza and elsewhere since October 2023. This represents far more than any other year since the U.S. began providing military aid to Israel in 1959. In 2022, for example, the U.S. provided Israel with $5.1 billion in military aid.
Imagine if all of that went towards Natural Disaster Relief, Public Infrastructure, and Social Services instead.
Sophisticated analysis?
Look, do you want a genocide or not? It’s gonna cost some money.
No genocide, please. Can that be an option?
Maybe, if you’re good and vote for genocide now, we’ll consider not having genocide later (not really).
How Much Does Israel’s War Cost the U.S.? Don’t Ask the State Department.
The answer as far as Blinken is concerned is “not enough. Ever.”
Anthony Blinken is a war Criminal who should be tried at The Hague and hung for his war crimes.
America has already made the credible threat to invade if an American Official / Soldier are ever tried at The Hague. I wish he would be though.
True, but we’ve lost every war we’ve fought for the last 70 years, so I like the Dutch’s odds
Oh, we haven’t been in any wars in the last 70 years. There were some “police actions” and we’ve deployed “peacekeeping” forces…
Right?
Seriously though, we need to do away with the “Authorization for Use of Military Force”. If Congress doesn’t have the consensus to declare war, then we shouldn’t be fighting.
I give 70% odds Biden illegally strikes Iran sans congressional authorization by the end of the year, at which point the DNC will have truly become the party of the Cheneys.
