this is why i think what’s needed is for people to wholesale rewrite things, let the people with emotional investment rip out the good bits and make them their own, it’s both therapy for the new author and rehabilitation for the work.

The Sound of Her Wings was an incredibly important story for me. It still is. But goddammit, Gaiman certainly tainted that memory.
