Honestly, there is hope for that. I feel like we’re all forgetting the anti-SJW YouTube pipeline that happened to Gen Z when they were around 16 (around 8-12 years ago now) and a lot of them grew out of that.
It can be a bit of a vicious circle. Here’s my opinion on the matter and what I think the hardest parts are.
Incels don’t exactly attract women - and I mean even as friends, not just partners. But the best way for an incel to stop being an incel is to… Have female friends he can connect with.
We can’t force women to be friends with men who hate women, that would be… yeah, something. Best we can do is what we’re already doing: mixed gender classes in kindergarten and school, hoping that most kids will end up with a diverse set of friends. And at the very least, fewer boys grow up to be men for whom women are some sort of alien creatures or something.
But there will always be some who are less social than others and are then more likely to fall into the influence of the manosphere . And I don’t know what could be done to prevent that or help these people, because the desire to be helped at that point, needs to come from within. Can lead a horse to water, but not force it to drink and all that.
Media exposure is really difficult to combat. I have behaviors remediated, then a few days of exposure due to parental neglect, and its back to being called slurs and being SA’d by a five year old. Building a case based on these things to help just one person….but there are so many growing up on media that is too mature, without context or collaboration from instructors….they are being filled with awful opinions they just uncritically accept as universally true. I know it going to get worse before it gets better. I know it took me so much work to get my on to explain his every opinion with supporting details, to make him stop parroting. And that was limited exposure from school and other boys.

In morrowind the dwarves are long gone and are believed to have perhaps “receded behind math”, this npc is I believe the only dwarf you can meet in morrowind that is alive though there are dwarven ruins and automatons across morrowind.

Oh! I think I’ve heard of it before. I’ll look it up. For anybody who has played it: is it fun?
It is amazing but it doesn’t hold your hand as far as quests go. There’s no big arrow pointing to your objective. Items don’t blink or glow. You must read the quest journal and wander around. There’s transport options but no generic fast travel.
Also, if you can find a mod to remove cliff racers then use it.

Morrowind remains my favorite Elder Scrolls game. It’s a bit more hardcore RPG than Skyrim for sure, and that may turn some folks off. And it’s definitely an older game with most of the dialog written. But it is an EXCEPTIONAL game. The world is beautiful and varied and exploration still feels more rewarding than Oblivion or Skyrim, the amount of lore to explore is HUGE, the specificity when building and leveling your character out exactly how you want is expansive, and the game doesn’t hold your hand - you can kill people who are vital to the main story if you want to, it just lets you doom the world if you really want to.
Nowadays, I’d strongly recommend running it with the excellent OpenMW engine, it’s rock solid and performs better than the original game, hell there’s even a working multiplayer fork of it!

…and it still leaves a back route to complete the main quest. You just have to murder the living god who is a mantling of Mephala to start the alternate route.

…and then you come up for air after reading the 36 Sermons of Vivec, realizing that very basic steganographic techniques were used to conceal at least a couple of hidden messages withing them and the start branching out from there into trying to understand the concepts of CHIM and the Towers and Amaranth and so on trying to wrap your head around the metaphysics of the setting.

Yuk. Skyrim stripped out everything that made Morrowind special. It feels more like a Ubisoft game than an RPG.
Morrowind is old and has retroRPG jank, but as long as you don’t run everywhere it’s not that hard. There’s even OpenMW if you want some modern quality of life features.
Doesn’t change the fact that Skyrim is a lot more accessible for new players.
There is a reason why Skyrim is still one of the most played games on Steam at this time (after 14 years) and Morrowind is not.
It is however why there’s like a small group of morrowind guys still fitzing around with mods and updated engines for it.
There’s even OpenMW if you want some modern quality of life features.
It’s been years since I played. Will OpenMW work with original MW mods, and if not what does it’s modding scene look like?
It plays well with original Morrowind mods, including Tamriel Rebuit, which is fucking awesome.

Yeah I’ve had a prominent widows peak since my hair grew in. Lot of comments about how I looked like Dracula or Eddie Munster. Got bad enough I tried shaving it in highschool, which honestly looked way way worse.
