i remember her trying to pander to the Bernie crowd after he “lost” the primaries in 2016. it was the first time I heard of her and some articles were treating it as if she was going to take Bernie’s torch.

She was right when she was talking about Bernie’s healthcare and socialism liteish, but it was more of a broken clock

so, she’s a complete grifter, trying to get ahead without any principles.

Everything old is new again. This is the same shit Dubya’s administration claimed in 2003 when they wanted to attack Iran.

I don’t think the majority of Americans bought the DMW bullshit back then either, but the war happened anyways because those in power wanted/let it happen. The people didn’t have a say in it.

I don’t know about a majority, but I lived through that as a young adult and I’d believe it if at least 51% of the US population bought the Iraq WMD crap. Colin Powell was a well respected military leader and political moderate and he cashed in all of his influence to sell the lies to Congress and the population.

I just repeated this to a table of 6 and got nothing but blank stares.

5 of them genuinely thought we found WMDs Iraq/Afghanistan

One had no idea what I was talking about and thought the war was entirely about the world trade centers.

      I am surrounded by morons.

I was talking to a guy and he said “who was that politician that used to wear a bunch of makeup?”.

        “I’m not sure” I said

        “The one with the eyeliner”

“Oh you mean J.d Vance? The vice president?”

        “He’s the vice president?”

Physically had to stop myself from facepalming.

Right after he started talking about Greta Thunberg. He said “people that don’t know anything about politics shouldn’t get involved”.

I wish I could make this stuff up.

We elected Biden on mostly anti-Trump sentiment then forgot and elected Trump again 4 years later. I think 20 years is more than enough time.

I’ll bet fewer people will fall for Trump’s lies than fell for GWB’s, but not because we learned from Iraq. This war is really unpopular with MAGA. It’s for the wrong reasons, but I don’t think most will flip to Trump on this one.

Democrats might be interesting to watch. They are mostly cucked to Israel, but they won’t want to pass on the opportunity to snipe at Trump.

Iran’s actions seem to stem more from their close relationship with the east. Most western allied states de-escelated or gave up nuclear capabilities, such as Ukraine.

Ukraine did it under the promise that US will protect them.

trump proved the world that relying on the US is a stupid ass idea and that nukes are more valuable than American promises

Counterpoint: Nukes are not providing Iran or North Korea any value. In fact it may very well be the justification for why they get wiped off the map.

Does it sound like a manchild like Trump cares about MAD? We’re on the precipice of a forever war, world war 3, or possibly even total annihilation of life on earth and you’re sitting there saying everything is great because hyper aggressive nations have nukes.

North Korea has nukes and it never gets invaded and gets aid sent to it. Iran doesn’t have nukes and it is regularly attacked.

I’d say their presence adds very clear value to the example country that actually has them.

North Korea is surrounded by allied China on one side and proper democracies on the other, but has come close to war many times such as when they bombed an inter-korean liaison office in 2020.

I will repeat that the justification being used to attack Iran is Nuclear Weapons. It is not protecting them, it is the reason they are being attacked, and it also directly benefits hostile dictatorship Russia because they’re willing providers of nuclear weapons. Iran is being Grifted.

You keep writing like they have them and thats why they are being attacked. Its specifically because they dont yet have them that they are being attacked. If they already had them like North Korea, their situation would be more similar. I doubt people would be bombing them, in the same way people aren’t bombing North Korea despite it acting very hostile and making direct threats.

Counterpoint: if it wasn’t nukes, there’d be some other justification. The alleged Iraqi WMD were never found, so basically we toppled their government (not that I’m exactly shedding tears over Saddam, but ISIS wasn’t great either), got a bunch of people killed, and blew two trillion dollars out of our ass for ???.

The alleged Iraqi WMD were never found but the CIA did present Aluminium tubes intel to congress at that time.

To be clear, I am not saying Iran could have avoided being attacked or that they should appeal to the USA, far from it. What they need to do is disarm nuclear research and tech in return for the ability to hide behind other NATO members and the EU, as opposed to taking offers from Russia and China which assuredly will not end well.

I really hope all of the idiots supporting this shit are like 15 years old or something, because anyone who was alive when GW Bush went into Iraq has seen this shit before.

People think we’re fucking untouchable… We’re in for a major wakeup call, especially given that our intelligence apparatus has been gutted by Trump.

But it’s almost like that’s what they want so they can manufacturer consent for this bullshit war we have zero business being any part of.
