      Yes, it’s the liberals fault! Why aren’t they stopping the people who have power over every part of our government! I realize the media doesn’t talk about when they do protest, but that’s no excuse! Why aren’t there more protests, more often and bring guns! /s

      I guess the republicans could stop them at any point in this process, but they don’t. You know, cuz it’s a fucking job he can be fired from.

          Dude, you know I love ya man, but there’s a reason most of us are here instead of the bad place. This is one of the least suppressed social media outlets, and it still has its issues with who controls the front page of all. The only reason the “No Kings” protest was covered was because millions showed up and their readers were probably in the crowd. It has to get to millions to cover it.

                I’m frustrated that so many people sat around and didn’t vote and now that we have a chance to hammer on the outrage constantly so people are angry and motivated to make a change we’re not.

                  The epstein thing is making cracks in his base. I’m not getting my hopes up, but if you look over at conservative in the bad place, they seem to be turning a little. Being mad at what’s already been done is useless.

                  I also think you’re not realizing how much the media is behind trump. I don’t know if it’s so they don’t get sued, blackmailed or what, but it’s definitely happening. If you go through the media like I do every day, it’s blatantly obvious that the headline writers are on his side. Most people only read the headlines and they know that. The articles themselves are mostly good, but even ones that I put in the top 3 will *sometimes not explain everything. You have to read 4 or 5 articles to get the full story and most people don’t have time for that shit.

                  Edit: Actually I do have a clue as to why the media is on trump’s side, he cuts their taxes and mostly makes them a shit ton of money.           People day that about every story coming out of the Trump admin. And it’s true, every one of these stories would be a huge scandal in normal times

          The thing is America is now an autocratic country. Opposing the oligarchs, especially Trump, now leads to significant personal consequences

          This is all setup. Silencing dissenting news doesn’t immediately do anything. It just let’s them do terrible things more easily in the future

          Once it gets real ugly, I’ll be leaving. I voted against and protested against this stuff my whole life. It didn’t work. Until it gets to that point though, I make way more here than elsewhere. Might as well bank money while I can

      They were outraged when he did completely normal things. That’s their default state in order to paint themselves as victims. Once they’ve done that, they can get away with anything.

    So sick of these assholes for whom “fact-based reporting” means “lies that promote fascism” and “fake news” means “true reporting.”

      CBS was already pretty terrible about giving both sides airtime and attacking both sides equally… even when the evidence was clear that one side was in the wrong or there was additional context left untold. And it has almost always benefited the right when they do that.

      So I actually agree. They should go to fact-based reporting. But I’m guessing my idea of fact-based reporting is different from theirs.
