So I love the taste of energy drinks, but I hate the caffeine since it doesn’t let me sleep when i drink it with dinner is there a drink that can accomplish my goal or is the taste in the caffeine?
EDIT: I figured it out so i you add water saffron rock candy and sugar add some sparkling water with lemon flavor then mix I haven’t figured out how to make it as sour tho, but it’s close in my opinion if you get the amounts right, but energy drinks have that artificial flavor so I can never make it truly the same
I thought the caffine is what makes energy drinks taste the way they do.
Be careful chasing the acidity of energy drinks. Full throttle is around 2 pH, not so good for your teeth or stomach health.
Maybe try aspartame instead of sugar?
Caffeine, like many other things, is harmful only in excessive amounts. If you drink some just for the flavour it shouldn’t be a problem.
i mean the whole point of energy drinks is that they have a stupid amount of caffeine
Problem is I can’t sleep at night if I drink it at dinner, but I usually eat the good meals at night
Have you tried drinking water with your dinner instead?
I like it when not eating, but it makes my food taste pretty weird when I drink it with food
Sorry, water makes your food taste weird, but energy drinks are just fine?
Yeah, it just makes it wet because it has no flavor, there are other drinks that I like other than energy drinks, but I would like to know how the taste of energy drinks can be accomplished this is no stupid questions
Sometimes the best answer to a question is questioning the premise.
Try not drinking with your mouth full, I usually do it to clean the mouth. Anyway, for me at least, RedBull et al. taste like cherry-similar, some off brands had “all fruits” listed as flavour additive.
Yes but when you ask a question in no stupid questions you are prompting a discussion. And now we’re discussing how water changes the taste of food for you, and you’re willing to drink sugary, unhealthy drinks with your dinner instead.
It sounds like you’re extremely addicted to sugar.
Maybe try drinking a battery?
Add citric acid powder to make it sour. It is in the ingredients of energy drinks as an acidity regulator but also controls sourness. Be aware it is strong, so only add a little at a time, and make sure it is fully mixed before fizzing it.
Celsius has a line for caffeine free options
Watch out for the random cans with alcohol though 😉
I am not sure which energy drink you are after, but Guaraná soda tastest similar to some.
That’d really be great. I’d love making red bull cocktails without caffeine in them
You sir are broken.
Carry on.
So many people’s bodies and wallets would benefit from 6 weeks of only drinking water.
The cravings will go away, drinks you used to love will suddenly be too sweet. You will simply feel better and wonder why you were so obsessed to begin with. Then you’ll buy 18 different kinds of tea to drink just 2 regularly. No idea why the last step happens, but it does.
I wish that would happen for me. Maybe the length of time one needs to abstain needs to be longer or something. I try to avoid drinking sweet drinks because of how easily it makes you fat but I don’t enjoy them any less and my favourites never feel too sweet and often I find myself really craving a very sweet drink and it’s only by not having it in the house that I manage to avoid it.
I guess I never really went full cold turkey, I figure I should be able to moderate the habit and only consume it on occasion which I think ends up being something like 1 to 2 glasses every 1.5 weeks on average.
Decaf coffee?
Caffeine is bitter. That’s why they mask it with sweet flavors in soda. Just drink it during the day as a treat occasionally and have water (or something else) with dinner?
Lmao you okay good buddy?
I bet you if it exists, the Scottish soft drink company Barr probably makes it
It’s been absolutely years since I had either, but I reckon Tizer is probably not too far off that red bull taste. I might be completely misremembering though
Dump a couple of random Kool-aid packs into a pitcher with a few cups of sugar. Then mix it up with the liquid from one car battery.
